Varga Dániel kvartett (HU, PL, HR)

Daniel Varga is a Hungarian saxophonist and composer, who made himself a name with his virtuoso saxophone playing and colorful experimental indie rock band Moped Loewen. He studied in Austria under the hands of Julian Arguelles and Ed Partyka. In the past year he has been winning all kinds of awards in Hungary with his bands (Palace of the Arts Jazz Showcase – special prize; 2nd best band on a Hungarian Talentshow with Moped Loewen; Újfalusy Gábor award for most talented musician in 2018/2019; 3rd prize on the Hungarian Jazz Composing and Arranging Competition organized by the Hungarian Jazz Federation for composing for a big band). Recently he has been invited in to the finals of the prestigious Michael Brecker International Saxophone Competition, which will take place in August at the Red Sea Jazz Festial in Eilat, Israel. 

His relationship with Poland started in 2014 with 2 very good friends of his: Piotr Lipowicz jazz guitarist and Piotr Budniak jazz drummer. They were playing tours and gigs around the country, presenting their own music and ideas in different groups, projects. After a 2-year break they group up again as the Daniel Varga Eastern European Quartett to undust nostalgic memories and bring you the fire of fresh, modern ideas of jazz.
